With its rich history, monuments, museums, beaches, untouched nature and caves easily reachable from the port, Ancona represents one of the most interesting and diverse destinations in the Adriatic. In order to offer the best possible experience of the city, an initiative called “Welcome to Ancona” has been welcoming passengers since 2005, giving them personal assistance and tourist information.The multi-functionality of the port makes Ancona a reference port for the central Italian territory. It is also one of the main shipbuilding and marine centres in the country.
Ancona’s irresistible charm and its position make it an ideal destination both for tourists who come from inland and those who arrive from the sea.

Mole Vanvitelliana
A specific section of the Mole Vanvitelliana is dedicated to conference activities and hosts meetings of national and international importance throughout the year, in addition to those more related to the tendencies of the territory.
Mole – conference venue consists of the Auditorium Orfeo Tamburi, two foyers (first floor and ground floor) and a multifunctional hall (Boxe hall).
The Auditorium is named after a great artist from the Marche region Orfeo Tamburi and it is home to his monumental work. It is a big hall with windows, and it has a capacity of 410 seats, fully accessible and equipped with floor services. It is completed by a small meeting/disengagement room and a small warehouse (55.40 square meters). The basic technical equipment includes table microphones, audio conference system; projector and a screen. The installations are managed from the control room located on the upper level where the interpreters are. Room rental always includes this equipment, the full-time presence of an audio-video technician and two hostesses with appropriate certifications.
The foyer on the first floor has 167 square meters in front of the Auditorium entrances and it can be used for logistic and reception activities, as well as for exhibitions or small meetings. It is, of course, accessible and houses works by Orfeo Tamburi.
The foyer on the ground floor is a space of 185 square meters. It acts as an entrance to the congress section of the Mole and has a cloakroom / reception desk and the bar. It can be equipped according to the needs (food space, exhibition space, small meetings). It is also enriched by Orfeo Tamburi’s large work. The bar is managed, within the “PRESENTE” project, by the partner Lavoriamo Insieme – a cooperative formed by support teachers from the Einstein-Nebbia Hotelier Institute from Loreto, whose mission is the work inclusion and the involvement of students with special educational needs. The works of Orfeo Tamburi are granted by the Cariverona Foundation, which owns them.
The Boxe hall is a multi-purpose room which borders the ground floor foyer. It has 275 square meters and is spatially divided by large masonry columns of the Vanvitellian matrix. It can be equipped for exhibitions, meetings, celebrations, catering, shows, with a maximum of 99 people and, of course, possesses all the relevant permits.It is entirely accessible.
