Dubrovnik, the most southeastern part of Croatia, situated by the Adriatic Sea coast, is usually regarded as the most picturesque city on the Dalmatian coast and is referred to as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Dubrovnik is probably best known for its walls built between the 12th and 17th centuries which nowdays attract tourists from all over the world and always stands proudly on the list of the most desirable destination to visit. The old city of Dubrovnik was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979.
