1° Adriatic Ports' Presidents Summit

A joint initiative by Italian Ports Association (Assoporti), Crotian Association of Port Authorities and Risposte Turismo.

For this 6th edition, Adriatic Sea Forum hosted the first meeting of the Presidents of Port Authorities from the Countries facing the Adriatic and involved in passenger traffic. The new initiative has been made possible thanks to the collaboration among Italian Ports Association (Assoporti), Crotian Association of Port Authorities and Risposte Turismo.

During this closed-door meeting, Presidents were invited to make a point about the passenger traffic in Adriatic and start deepening themes of mutual interest (e.g. the relation port-cities with the new challenges of managing passengers coming by the sea, how to help reduce environmental impacts, possible join initiatives to support cruise and ferry traffic in Adriatic). For the first time ever the Presidents of Adriatic Port Authorities met to discuss about the maritime tourism in the area, also signing a declaration of intent which will address future initiatives and activities.

Already 13 Presidents signed the declaration of intent with the news of Corfu that declared its intent to join and sign the declaration, thus recognizing the importance of this cooperation.
